Visiting Venues - Questions to Ask

As you narrow down your venue search, here are three essential questions you could ask during a wedding venue tour to ensure the venue aligns with your needs and vision:

1. What is included in the rental fee, and are there additional costs we should be aware of?

This question helps clarify what is covered in the venue's pricing, such as tables, chairs, linens, catering, and decor. It also reveals hidden fees like service charges, overtime fees, or setup and breakdown costs.

2. What is the backup plan for inclement weather or other unexpected issues?

If your wedding involves outdoor elements, it’s crucial to know the venue’s contingency plans. This includes indoor options, tent rentals, or how they handle power outages or other unforeseen circumstances.

3. Are there any restrictions or requirements we should know about?

Understanding limitations on things like noise levels, decoration rules, or outside vendor policies can prevent surprises later. It's also good to ask about end times or any required insurance or permits.

In closing

I hope this was helpful as you consider the many options New Jersey has to offer. Good luck in your search and when the time comes that you've got your official date and venue, I'd be happy to explore working with you!
