A Jersey City Coffee Shop and the New York Skyline

To me, engagement sessions are all about authenticity and photographing my couples in places and spaces that most capture them and their relationship. So when Jaimee and Dereck mentioned that they liked going out to coffee shops, I knew I could create the perfect session for them. First, I checked in with my good friends, the owners of bwè kafe. They’ve got three coffee shops in Hoboken and Jersey City and with their permission, we were able to shoot in the Jersey City coffee shop right before closing. In the process I got these stunning and photojournalistic images of Jaimee and Dereck loving it up. Afterwards, we walked along the Hudson waterfront and continued our portrait session with the beautiful New York skyline and the Hoboken train station and terminal. Lastly, after a brief dinner break, we again met up for golden hour and sunset portraits with a whole new look and feel.
