A Colorful Barn Wedding with a Halloween Twist

This was a special one and Jess and Brett had a unique and creative vision for their wedding at Bishop Farmstead in South Jersey and executed it perfectly. Firstly, their style. From her signature bright red lips and voluminous curly hair to her classy Catherine Dean Lita gown and thoughtful details, Jess was such a stylish bride! Tame Florals did a fantastic job with her flower crown and colorful bouquet and Brett in his brown three-piece tweed suit and crimson tie was the perfect compliment. Together with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, the wedding party was so colorful and unique!

Throughout the day we got so many amazing portraits featuring the venue, the stormy sky, and the special details Jess and Brett had prepared for the day (Halloween masks, colored smoke grenades, a vintage VW bus photo booth, and some surprise alpacas!) JAM Catering provided delicious food and desserts and the team at Bishop Farmstead was great to work with.

During the reception, Jess entered in style dressed in a whole new series of details (jewelry, crown, shoes, and a stunning green and gold negligee). After their first dance and parent dances, Jess and Brett got all their guests to don masks for a Halloween dance set! Bishop Farmstead's big red barn was the perfect setting for the rest of the night as Jess, Brett, and their guests ate, drank, talked, and danced the night away.

What made this one extra special?

  1. An abundance of time, interest, and opportunities to get creative portraits. We made the most of the venue and crafted a timeline where Jess and Brett could enjoy the day and also get the photos they dreamed of.
  2. Embracing the unexpected. You can't plan for the weather but you can adjust accordingly. These storm clouds gave us the chance to make some incredible portraits.
  3. The style and attention to detail. I love that Jess had two looks and rocked so many unique accessories. She's totally a bridal rock star!
